You started to walk to your friend Ivan's house. He was also your crush but you were too embarrassed to confess to him. You liked how he had a childlike innocence. You had brought sunflowers from your garden to give to him since he liked sunflowers. You went up to his door and knocked on it. The door opens and you see Ivan smiling down at you.

"Privet ________" he says letting you in.

"Hello Ivan" you say coming in.

You hand him the sunflower.

"For me?" he asks.

You smile and nod.

He hugs you

"Thank you _________" he says happily.

"You're welcome" you say laughing.

"So why did you come to visit me today?" asks Ivan walking into the kitchen.

You shrug.

"Just felt like seeing you I guess" you say watching him put the sunflower into a vase.

Ivan puts the vase onto the kitchen table and smiles at you. You smile back. You couldn't help it. His smiles were contagious.

"So _________ want to go somewhere today?" he asks.

"Sure. Where do have in mind?" you ask.

"Let's go to the park" he says. He grabs his coat and follows you out the door.

"Ivan why do you always where that coat and scarf?" you ask.

"I wear the coat because I just like it and the scarf was given to me by my sister. So it is one of my precious things" he says.

You had heard that Ivan used to live with his sisters, but they had moved out for some reason. You see the park it was empty. Usually a kid or two were here but they were probably didn't feel like coming today. You run over to the swings. Sitting down in one you swing back and forth. You laugh as you swing. Ivan smiles and sits to the swing next to you.

"Ivan come on you swing too!" you say trying to see how high you could go with the swing.

Ivan smiles and starts to swing. Smirking he swings higher than you. You stare at him in shock and then putting on a game face you try to swing higher. Both of you swing as high as the swings can go. Ivan jumps off at the highest point landing straight on his feet. You get yourself ready and jump off the swing. Ivan catches you bridal style in his arms.

"Careful there __________" says Ivan laughing.

You blush. Ivan puts you down on the ground.

"Thanks for catching me" you say still red.

"No problem ___________. Hey come with me" says Ivan taking your hand.

He leads you to an old weary oak tree. He lets go of your hand and touches the trunk. He traces an old craving that the two of you made when you were kids. It was a heart and inside was your and his initials. You wondered why he had brought you here.

"__________ remember when we carved this?" asks Ivan.

"Yea, that day we carved our initials in the heart and said that we would never leave each other" you say going to stand by him and putting your hand on the heart too.

"Well __________, that day I also declared my love for you" he says

You blush hoping you knew where this was heading.

"I was a kid just back then but now I am a man. I can protect you and make sure you don't get hurt. I couldn't do that when I was a kid, but now I can.  __________ I love you. Will you go out with me?" he asks looking at you.

"Yes, I love you too Ivan" you say kissing him.

He was shocked at first but started to kiss back. You wrap your hands around his neck and he pulls you close by wrapping his arms around your waist. You soon needed to break because of the pesky need for air. You smile and hug him.
"I love you" you say happily.

"I love you  too ___________" says Ivan hugging you back.
