Mr.Right

You sighed and drank your cup of tea. Your boyfriend broke up with you again. You had gone out with so many guys, but none of them had been Mr. Right.

“Life sucks why can’t Mr. Right be so easy to find?” you say sighing and taking a sip of your tea.

“Hi, I’m Mr. Right—I heard you were looking for me.”

You nearly spit your drink out, but keep it in your mouth and accidently somehow causing you to choke on your tea. You cough a couple times and look up to see a white haired and red eyed guy looking a bit worried.

“Bad time for the pick-up line?” he asks

“Yea, a bit bad timing” you say clearing your throat.

“I would say something but you’re so beautiful you made me forget my pick up line” he says smiling.

You giggle at his cheesy pick up line and say

“You know this is bad timing in general. I am supposed to be depressed about breaking up with my boyfriend”

He dramatically gasps and swoons down to the seat next to you.

“How could he? A beautiful girl like you should have men falling at your feet” he says over dramatically patting your hand like he was some old women trying to comfort you.

You could only smile from trying not to burst out laughing at his act. You spent the next hour talking with this so called Mr. Right. It was now 6 and you had to go home and do your homework for your college classes.

“It was nice talking to you Mr. Right, but I am afraid that I have to go” you say.

“Aw, that’s too bad” he says sadly.

From what you could see he looked genuinely sad to see you go. For some reason that made you feel a bit happy that someone you just met was happy when with you and sad to see you go. Smiling you say

“Maybe we’ll see each other sometime” you say.

“Wait _____________” he says.

“Yes?” you say.

“I’m lost. Can you give me directions to your house?” he says hopefully.

You laugh and shake your head no. He looks sad so you say

“I can give you my number though”

He smiles happily at you and the two of you exchange numbers. You two say goodbye and go your own ways.

Over the next few days you and Mr. Right talked over the phone and you finally found out his real name was Gilbert. Friday you agreed to go on a date with Gilbert Saturday. The two of you spent the whole day at the carnival that was in town. The two of you went on all the rides and now it was turning to evening so the two of you rode in the Ferris wheel to watch the sun go down. When the two of you got out, you held hands and he walked you home. The two of you reached your home and Gilbert said

“Can you kiss me on the cheek so I can at least say a cute girl kissed me tonight?”

You giggle at him. He was always saying cheesy pick-up lines to you. Thinking what the heck did you have to lose you stood a bit on your toes so you could kiss his cheek, but instead of his cheek on your lips you could feel his lips on yours. His lips tasted just as sweet as the cotton candy the two of you ate. You didn’t dare to end the kiss first even if you thought it might have been a mistake, but the need for air made the two of you break apart.

“Well that surely wasn’t your cheek” you say blushing.

Gilbert bursts out laughing.

“Absolutely wasn’t, but I didn’t mind it. In fact that was what I wanted” he says smirking.

“I don’t think I minded it either” you say.

“If you don’t mind, then how about I finally become your Mr. Right?” he asks.

“I think I like the idea of finally finding my Mr. Right” you say wrapping your arms around his neck.

“Then how about a kiss to seal the deal” he says pulling you closer to him.

“Deal” you say before closing the gap between your lips.

Looks like you finally found Mr. Right even if he came with cheesy pick up lines.
