11 years ago 9-11 happened. You remembered clearly that day what had happened. Your best friend was working in one of the twin towers. You were away back to your home town far away from New York. When you had heard the news you had cried on for days on. Today was 9-11 again, but you weren't crying instead you were praying that your friend even though she died young was happy in heaven.
"______________ ready to go to church?"
You turn to see Alfred and you raise a eyebrow at him.
"Church? Since when do you go to church?" you asked him.
You had met Alfred a few months ago and you guys instantly hit off. Within a week you two were a couple. You still didn't know him that well , but one thing you knew was that Alfred wasn't really a church person.
Alfred rolls his eyes as if that was the most obvious thing ever and says "Yea today is 9-11. I always go to church on this date"
"Why?" you ask him.
His eyes usually full of joy turn a bit sad.
"Cause my brother was working in that place when the planes crashed"
"oh. I'm sorry" you say
"It's ok. I know that you lost your best friend on this date too" he says
"How do you know that" you ask him.
"Your other friends"
"Ah"
Your other friends could never keep their mouths shut. Sighing you say
"Ok let's go"
You two went to mass and when it was done the two of you headed back to your place.
"So ______________ what was your friend like?"Alfred asks you.
"She was awesome! Always happy and so friendly! She was the best friend anybody could have" you said.
"What was your brother like?" you ask him.
"He was quiet but really kind. Always loved maple cookies for some reason. Loved hockey…."
The two of you spend the rest of the evening talking about your best friend and Alfred's brother. The stories you two told made you guys laugh and cry. 9-11 was a sad day for you two but the stories of the loved ones made the day seem a bit brighter.

"AMERICAAAAA~"
I pounded on the said country's door repeatedly.
I heard a cough from inside.
"Coming,"
the voice said softly.
Hmm.. must be Canada.. a sick Canada.
The door opened.
"Hey Canada! Wheres-"
I stopped in mid sentence as i realized who i was talking to.
"Canada? (name), i can understand if you mistake Canada as me. But me, mistaken for him? Dude, you okay?"
"O-oh, yeah, its just.. I was used to you answering loudly and stuff.. A-anyway! I brought food!"
I raised the paperbag containing 3 cheese burgers, 2 big macs, 3 medium fries, and 2 coke to his face.
"Oh, okay. Thanks," he smiled

Time passes ever so quickly as far as a country is concerned. Alfred was not an exception even if he enjoyed living in the moment and cherished the present to the utmost that he could. Every day was a bright and beautiful new day in his eyes. Yes, the economy was not looking its best but deep down in his heart he had no true, long lasting, worries. As the land of Liberty and Justice he knew they would come out on top where the sun would shine down upon the land and its citizens. Trials were always presented to a country and its people and Alfred knew things would be okay so long as there was someone out there that still believed in h

8:46am.
That morning, you were on your way to the World Trade Center to meet with several business customers. You pouted at the thought of the customers, they wouldn't sign the contracts until you redo it with a more proper and specific idea.
You sigh. The door slid open on its own accord. You pressed the elevator button up as you tapped your foot, waiting for the elevator.
You walked in the elevator as you hear another man shout. "Wait!" His hand came in between the elevator doors. You hurriedly pressed the button to open the elevator doors in panic.
"God! I thought I was going to die!" The dirty blonde haired man

So I guess what I am trying to say with this little crappy story is that even though today is probably a sad day for many of you guys look at the bright side. Remember the good things of the people you lost. The stories you might remember of them might make you laugh or cry or maybe both. The people that you lost don’t want to see you crying over them, they want to see you happy. So remember things about them that made you laugh. Try to remember their weird quirks, their likes and dislikes, remember the things they did. If you don’t remember anything about someone you lost then ask someone. Like if you lost a relative ask your parents to tell you things about them. Make this a day where you remember the people not the day where you hide in your room and cry all day. Share your good memories of those people. Make people know how good those people you lost on that day were. That’s all I got to say.
